The Science of Influence aims to complement  – and not replace – more comprehensive resources like the following.
Other sources of hopefully useful nerdery:
  • The Analyst Institute: Field testing, data, training, and consulting for progressive organizations and campaigns
  • Scholars Strategy Network: Nonpartisan site with policy briefs from academics, including on election-related topics
 
Comprehensive training on campaign fundamentals:
  • The Campaign Workshop: Aggregated calendar of progressive trainings, free digital advocacy and political campaign eBooks and toolkits, advocacy trainings, annual list of advocacy and campaign tools
  • Democratic GAIN: Catalog of free and inexpensive how-to guides and online trainings on campaign pragmatics
  • Midwest Academy: General and customized trainings and resources for progressive organizers of issue campaigns
  • National Democratic Training Committee: Free online campaign training for Democrats running for office
  • Wellstone: Trainings for progressive candidates and movements, tech skills training for both, many free digital tools and how-to guides
 
Training and support for members of specific groups:
  • The Arena: Coaching and direct assistance to progressive candidates with a focus on leadership and management, story, and organizing
  • The Collective PAC: Training and support for progressive Black candidates at all levels
  • Emerge America: Recruitment, a 6-month, 70-hour training, and providing a powerful network for Democratic women interested in running for office, before they announce their candidacy
  • Emily’s List: Training and support for pro-choice Democratic women candidates
  • Higher Heights: Training and support for Black women in leadership at all levels
  • Latino Victory Project: Training and support for Latin@ candidates
  • She Should Run: Virtual incubator including nonpartisan network, roadmap of resources and weekly newsletter for women considering a run for office
  • Victory Institute: Training and support for openly LGBTQ candidates and campaign staff
  • 314Action: Training and endorsements for scientists running for office at all levels

  • Get Her Elected: Pro bono campaign services for progressive women candidates
  • Inclusv: Helping progressive campaigns hire staffers of color and advocating on behalf of people of color who work in politics
  • Run For Something: Connecting people under 40 to training programs like the above
  • Sister District: Connecting Democratic candidates in down-ballot state races with supporters from other districts for fundraising, canvassing, etc.
  • Swing Left: Connecting Democratic nominees for the U.S. House of Representatives in swing districts with progressive volunteers from nearby districts
